[Developers] regarding plugin development

Hi all,
          I am trying to develop a plugin for apatar, i followed the
instructions given on
http://www.apatarforge.org/wiki/display/ADM/How+to+Create+New+Apatar+Function,
i am wondering , if there is any easy way to build the plugin ,
currently i am doing with intellij idea editor and including all the
classes in the classpath, please give me instructions on building a
plugin in a proper way.
